What is Hydra Direct?

Hydra Direct is a rebranding and simplification of our on-demand 3D printing service. We hope you like our new logo :)

We are launching a dedicated website for our 3D Print service called Hyrda Direct. We felt that our current website is over cluttered and to enhance the experience for our 3D print service customers a simple and focused website would be best.

New customer portal powered by mfgFlow

As you may have seen in our previous email, the portal software we have been using is shutting down on May 1st, important housekeeping notes on this further down in this article. We have been working on a brand new portal software and are very excited to start using it with you. However, the news of our old portal shutting down came with short notice and much soon than expected. This means the portal software we have been building has not had as much time to be polished as we would have liked. We are working as fast as we can, but things might be a little rough around the edges at first. We greatly appreciate your patience as we work through this transition. In the long term, we will be able to provide a much better experience now that we have full control of our portal.

If you are already a user of our 3D services, we encourage you to create an account in our new portal so you are all ready to go when it’s time to start your next order or project.

mfgFlow (MES)

mfgFlow is a new additive manufacturing execution system (MES) built from the ground up to empower small businesses and individuals to compete with established players in the 3D print service space. mfgFlow provides a customer/business portal software suite that automates and streamlines business/customer communication, customer projects and orders, invoicing/payments, file sharing, and much more. The UI is simple and user-friendly. In the future, we plan to add auto quoting for FDM, SLA, and powder-based 3D printing technologies along with print queue and farm management.

Important details about the transition

Old Invoices

We are trying to acquire records of all invoices from the company that makes the portal software we have been using, but just to be safe we advise that you download any old invoices you might need for your records before May 1st. Login here before May 1st, 2023.

The same great service offerings

We will continue to offer the same great 3D printing services you have come to expect from Hydra Research.

Transition to the new portal

We don’t have any information just yet, but instructions will be coming soon. Stay tuned! We will try to make the transition as seamless as possible.
