May Update 2019
This little one doesn’t have anything to do with this blog post other than it was printed on the Nautilus using the high-res B 250 Tool Cartridge and we wanted to share it! Designed by Thingivers user loubie and printed with Fillamentum Vertigo Galaxy PLA.
Nautilus Shipments Delayed Until Late May to early June
Due to stock levels with some of our suppliers, we will not have all the parts for the Nautili in until late May, meaning it will be at least a week after that until we can start shipping Nautili. Luckily the delayed parts are not needed to begin production as they can be added at the very end. Thus we can still continue our plans to begin production as soon as possible. We will continue to allow pre-orders until production fully begins, so get your order in while you still can!
The first stages of our trial production have begun and things are going smooth so far! We have printed a good chunk of the parts and we are just waiting on the last couple necessary components to arrive.

To celebrate the introduction of materials by Fillamentum, we are offering 15% OFF all filament through May 10th.
We looked at a lot of filament manufacturers in search of one that offered a wide range of high quality materials. We wanted to keep things simple by having one primary supported filament manufacturer on the Nautilus. While we support other manufacturers as well as generic materials, we wanted to have a recommended manufacturer that offers all the engineering materials that the Nautilus prints so well. At the end of our search we settled on Fillamentum, a high quality filament manufacturer out of the Czech Republic with a robust selection of materials.
You can now find a large selection of their materials in the Hydra Research Store including PLA, ABS/ASA, CPE, Flexible, Nylon, and even their brand new, flame retardant PVC!
