Spring Update 2020

2020 has been bumpy so far, to say the least! However, Hydra Research is committed to continuing to offer the same industry-leading 3D printers and support services in addition to our direct additive manufacturing and 3D services.

We are against racism and trying to do our part in our community.

If you are looking for ways you can help as well, we have put together some resources. Anti-Racism Resources

PPE for COVID-19 Update

To fight the global pandemic, Hydra Research continues to manufacture PPE. We have now delivered well over 2,000 pieces of PPE!

New Custom Mask Fitters

Now offering custom mask fitters using 3D scanning from the Bellus3D FaceApp. These custom fitters improve the seal of just about any loose fitting face mask, including the ones made from sterilization wrap which we are selling.

We are continuing to offer our Face Shields, Face Masks, and Ears Savers

Now Offering 3D Modeling Services

We offer Parametric and Organic modeling services to help you make your ideas a reality. We can start from scratch, take your current 3D model and optimize it for 3D printing, or even reverse engineer an existing physical part. It all starts with a free consultation, followed by one of our skilled engineers creating a 3D model with your feedback, and finally a high quality 3D print of the part(s) we have created together!

New Knowledge Base

All the support information you need for your Hydra Research products in one place. This aims to replace our PDF product user manuals with an easier to use knowledge base. It will also now be quicker and easier for us to update product documentation to ensure you always have the most accurate and updated information to help make your 3D printing endeavors a success!

New Products

Nautilus Print Surface Blanks

For our advanced 3D printer users, we now offer Print Surface blacks. Laminate your own adhesion layer! Intended for applications that require adhesion layers we do not yet offer.

PP 2320 - Fillamentum

Now offering polypropylene. Please note that Polypropylene is an experimental material at this time and is only recommended for expert users. It can be very challenging to achieve good first layer adhesion to the Print Surface with PP. We are currently working on a brand new Print Surface for the Nautilus specifically designed for PP.

Nylon for Cold Pulls (2.4M)

Cold Pull is a technique to clear debris from the nozzle of a 3D printer which can cause jams. The best material for this is Nylon, but if you don't print Nylon enough to justify buying a roll, we have you covered.
